Welcome from the Chair of Governors
From experience as both a parent and Chair of Governors, I can honestly say that Court Moor is a very special place, and one we are incredibly proud of.
Academic excellence is undoubtedly a key priority for us, and we have a track record of fantastic exam results which we continually strive to improve, with innovative, engaging teaching and learning strategies being at the heart of what we do. A Court Moor education isn’t just about exam certificates however, our broad, balanced curriculum ensures students develop lifelong skills, attitudes, confidence and resilience, which enable them to thrive after leaving us. Character traits of integrity, courtesy, confidence, kindness and courage are encouraged and applauded amongst our students and are integral to our ethos as a school. We have an amazing array of extracurricular clubs, trips and experiences which as well as having educational and character development benefits, are also lots of fun and create lifelong memories for our students.
As a governing body we work closely with the senior leadership team and staff across the school to ensure we have a clear, ambitious strategic vision for our school and constantly strive to ensure that we are moving closer towards our aim of becoming one of the best schools in Britain, but on our own terms and within the parameters of our ethos and values as a school.
I would encourage you to attend our Open Day events in the Autumn term or to arrange to visit school on a normal day, where you will see for yourself how committed, enthusiastic, caring and passionate our teachers are about their students and subjects. At our Open Days you will also have the opportunity to meet and chat to lots of our amazing students, who are always very keen to volunteer to help and to talk eloquently and honestly about their school. Our staff and students are our greatest ambassadors and the caring, inclusive nature of our school community that they embody, is central to our school ethos.
