Welcome from the Headteacher

Court Moor School is a very special place. With an excellent reputation, dedicated staff and ambitious students, I feel very fortunate to lead this superb organisation.

The school motto of ‘Caring to Achieve’ is evident in all aspects of school life and it embodies one of the greatest elements of Court Moor – the caring, inclusive community of staff and students.  Visitors regularly comment on how warm and friendly the staff and students are; this is something we really pride ourselves on. We value the strong relationships we have with the parents and aim to make Court Moor ‘a great place to be and a place to be great’.

High academic standards are important at Court Moor and we are unashamed of our promotion of traditional values in our students, such as pride in uniform, respect and courtesy. However, we are very conscious that we are educating 21st Century learners and we consider the ‘results’ of a Court Moor education as more than just qualifications, it is about attitudes and attributes for life.

We have defined what a Court Moor education is by describing the kind of students that will leave us in Year 11; students who have a sense of success, a sense of purpose, a sense of empowerment, a sense of adventure and a sense of belonging. Our whole-school priorities are based around ensuring every student who comes through our doors leaves Court Moor this sense of themselves to guide them through their future lives.

If you are interested in finding out more about us, then we urge you to explore the website where you will learn more about our values, through the senses and the Court Moor Character - two of our priorities in providing a world-class education. We are very proud of the school and you are more than welcome to come and visit us on a usual school day; we don’t put on a show; you can see a normal day but, I’m sure you’ll agree, our normal anything but ordinary.
