Activities Week Day Three

Activities Week day three and the school has been a hive of activity. Year 8 students have been building cardboard castles. Their brief was to build a medieval style castle focussing on defensive features, and we think they have come up with some splendid designs. Half of Year 9 have been working with the SATRO education charity, learning about running a business. The students have been particularly industrious, making keyrings. It wasn't just the making though as they had to deal with the business side of negotiating a price and then selling their keyrings, with school/SATRO staff and a virtual banking system. The other half of Year 9 had PE activities, including a different sort of sports day with handstand trials, welly throwing, egg catching, crab racing, and some more traditional relay races.
