Year 9 Battlefields Trip

As well as our year 8 Barcelona trip, year 9 spent Friday and the weekend in France and Belgium, stepping in the footsteps of the troops of World War 1.

Students visited both Commonwealth and German cemeteries, walked the trenches, visiting both places of retreat and horror for the British troops that served in the war. The students were exceptionally respectful, as noted by several members of the public. Along with our history related activities, we also had time to visit a chocolate shop.
