Duke of Edinburgh Practice Hike

Last weekend saw the first of this year's Duke of Edinburgh practice hikes take place.

Students walked a route from the Wellington Statue in Aldershot, over Caesars Camp, and then back to school where they pitched camp, practiced using their Trangia stoves, and closed camp before going home for a well earned rest.

Year 10 showed excellent map reading skills, kept to the route, and even found time for some old fashioned games like "what's the time Mr Wolf?". Bring on the New Forest!
